Video is more accessible than ever.

Remember the days when only the cool kids could afford a Sony camcorder or your business needed a giant budget to hire a professional videographer?  Right now, we have more accessibility to create video content than any other generation.

Most mobile devices now have the technology to not only record, but also publish video content.  Really stop and think about that.  Woah!
But even with this incredible tool in our pockets most businesses still have a fear around creating video content, especially live video.
Understandably with all the moving pieces, but with a great plan you can still control the narrative and feel comfortable with what you are putting out there.

Even hiring someone to create video isn’t as expensive as it used to be.  Many videographers are forgoing the overhead of studio space and creating content on site.  Specifically, when producing videos for social media, it’s a waste to create over produced videos because it’s just not always relevant for the medium.

Social media loves video.

Video content is still being favoured on most social media platforms, which means more people will see the content you are putting out.  This is especially true with live video.  Video is statistically the most shared content on social media which helps a lot with organic reach.  Plus the access people have to better devices and faster internet has increased the volume of videos people can consume.
Social media is hungry and it wants VIDEO (nom, nom, nom).
More customers are expecting to find answers to their questions on social.  Using live video as part of your customer service plan is a great way to engage with your audience.  Humanizing the customer experience through video is a huge asset.

Video can do anything.

Ok, maybe not anything, but it’s the king of content for sure. Let’s have a look at what it can do.

Video can build trust with your clients.  It’s as simple as allowing them to see your face, your mannerisms and the way you speak.  Creating familiarity with these things can make the sales process much easier once you are face to face.  This is also true of your business’s physical space and processes.  All of these aspects can be made accessible prior to a customer's first visit which can greatly increase their comfort.

Education is perfect for the video format.  Almost any product or idea can be explained with a good video.  That can range from a simple verbal explanation all the way to a detailed video tutorial.
Breaking ideas down and using education as a way to market is way more relevant than a sell, sell, sell approach.
What’s the number one reason customers are on social media?  To be entertained.  Video kills it here because it allows you the chance to create some serious value to your audience.  But we really have to move past the dancing babies and dog tricks when we talk about video for business.  Ugh, ok maybe one more dog video (like so cute).

We love using video at T Squared Social and are thrilled to be leading our 5th Social Hour talking about how you can use video to improve your social media.  This event is FREE to attend, but space is limited, please make sure to REGISTER.
