Often we are unaware of the real reach and impact our actions have on social media.  Join us for a group discussion on our social responsibility as content creators and how to build inspired communities through social media.

We are excited be joined by Gisele Plamondon from Aspire Too, who will be co-leading the discussion with us.
The core values of Social Recharge are creating time for self-care and finding balance with technology.

We encourage everyone to bring pen and paper in place of electronic devices.
Big thank you to Gisele Plamondon from Aspire Too for helping to facilitate the discussion today. We were particularly inspired by your comment about our generation figuring out Social Media and passing those positive habits on to our children. Deep gratitude for your contributions today at Social Recharge.

Everybody has a story

Everybody has a story.  It’s true.  What’s so important about sharing our experiences with each other?  Lots of how we tell stories on social media involves perspective.  We wanted to show how you can use the same subject matter and present it in different ways by using a wide spectrum of storytelling.
Our first element was using raw footage.  Originally we had not intended this footage to be used as is, it was recorded to be used in the final edited version of the campaign.
We found that it felt personal and made the viewer slightly uncomfortable.
It felt a bit like the viewer was not supposed to be watching it.  That appealed to us in the sense that it invited people into our process.  Content like this is a bit harder to consume for people so we didn’t expect a huge return, but we felt passionately that it gave depth to the entire story.

Using photography to compliment a video series on social media is hugely important.  Video is big, but photos are still super relevant.  Here we pulled out key messages that we wanted to attach to the theme of storytelling.
We used photos that were shot in the same environment to keep everything tied together.
Followers on social media now have several times where they have been exposed to our big messages, but in different formats.
Something we love doing at T Squared Social is live video.
It’s clean, efficient and inexpensive.
We chose to film our Social Minute series at each of the locations for the main video to once again make strong references.  We also chose to educate on the topic of storytelling this month to keep the content on theme.  Showing the same faces and places in multiple ways was a cool experiment to see where people reacted the best.
Finally, the main video.  This was the original vision of the message we wanted to express to our followers and clients.  What we do at T Squared Social is find interesting ways to tell people’s stories.  Sometimes that is tricky because, like ours, some products are intangible.
So how do you tell those stories?  By building culture and a brand.
Everybody has a story.  So, what is yours?

Live Event Support | Karma Cafe

Hosting an event can be hectic and typically the last thing on people’s minds is pulling out a camera to snap a few photos.  Live event support is something we love to do at T Squared Social.  Throwing a great party is amazing for the people who attend, but documenting events can include exponentially more people in the excitement.
It’s important to share things as they happen, before and during.  Making use of Facebook Live and Instagram Stories is key to including people in your event.  People who didn’t attend may feel like they did.
Simply by sharing great photos and videos it allows people to feel included.
Once the event is over it’s critical to have a gallery posted quickly to create sharable items.  Build on the excitement of the event by offering guests content to engage with.  This is a perfect way to keep the reach growing on your social media and keep the party going.
Thank you to Karma Cafe for inviting us to their Charity Switch-Over event.  Check out the links below to follow them on social media.
